Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, claims he didn't speak with the White House after a large number of secret US intelligence documents were shared on social media.
The records purportedly released by 21-year-old Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira included details showing US intelligence collecting on allies like Israel, South Korea, and Ukraine as well as a scathing assessment of the situation in Ukraine by US intelligence.
According to defense and intelligence insiders, the leak revealed obvious flaws in the way the Pentagon protects its most sensitive secrets. Last Wednesday, a week after Teixeira's Massachusetts Air National Guard unit suspended its intelligence mission while an investigation was ongoing, the US Air Force retaliated by suspending two of its leaders.
As a result of allegedly uploading the, Teixeira is accused of violating the Espionage Act.
