Uber driver's wife has agreed to pay his £197 fine after being caught on camera having s*x with a prostitute in the back of his cab, he tells the court.

 

An Uber driver who is married and was caught on camera having sex with a prostitute in the back of his cab has stated that his wife will be responsible for paying the fine.

Mohammed Jamal, 37, was detained and charged with soliciting sex after a neighbor spotted his car 'bouncing up and down' and caught him on camera in the backseat of the car with a prostitute at 2 am on April 9 in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Jamal was a private driver before losing his job.

He declared in court today that his wife would "pay any fine" after being assessed court fines of £197, which included £80 in fees, £80 in fines, and a £32 victim surcharge.
