AARE ADETOLA EMMANUELKING CELEBRATES CHIEF OLUSEGUN OBASANJO AT 88

Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, the Otun-Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Remoland, joined Christian leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers in celebrating Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Ph.D, GCFR, on his 88th birthday. The occasion was marked with a special Global Breakfast Prayer Session on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, bringing together representatives from 29 countries in a powerful virtual gathering.

Led by Bishop T. Akin-Akinsanya, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (Southwest Zone), and moderated by Rev. Engr. A. Ojeshina, the session featured prayers, scriptural reflections, and worship. Ministers from across the globe honored Chief Obasanjo’s legacy, recognizing his contributions to leadership, diplomacy, and African development. Worship was led by the Gatekeepers Worship Team.

Prominent spiritual leaders, including Ven. O. Ogunremi (Kenya), Pastor M. Nwanegbo (Belgium), Bishop F. Wale Oke, Bishop E. Adekunle, Rev. Mother E. Ajayi, Apostle M. Oluwajoba (USA), Dr. Juliet Hammond (UK), and Bishop David Bakare, shared goodwill messages, highlighting Obasanjo’s impact on governance and faith.

In his tribute, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking recalled his first spiritual connection with Chief Obasanjo in the 1990s when Baba’s book of prayers became a source of strength during a challenging time. Comparing his journey to the biblical story of Jonah, he praised Obasanjo’s resilience and divine guidance.

“Baba’s unwavering commitment to service and his boundless energy continue to inspire us. Even at 88, he remains more active than many younger people. His life proves that purpose and vision sustain longevity,” Aare Emmanuelking stated.

Encouraging Chief Obasanjo to publish 32 more editions of his prayer compendium, he affirmed the belief that Baba is destined to live up to 120 years. Reflecting on his monumental role—from handing over power to a civilian government in 1979 as a military Head of State to leading Nigeria again as a democratic President in 1999—Aare Emmanuelking applauded his enduring legacy.

“At 88, Baba remains a pillar of wisdom and a voice for Africa. May God continue to grant him strength, good health, and many more years to witness Nigeria’s progress,” he concluded.

The Prayer Breakfast ended with a special toast and heartfelt prayers for Chief Obasanjo’s continued leadership and divine guidance.
