Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has extended heartfelt greetings to His Eminence, Cardinal Francis Arinze, congratulating him on his 92nd birthday held on the 1st of November 2024.

VDM arraigned in court, granted bail on stringent terms

 

Social critic, VeryDarkMan, has been arraigned in court over unauthorized use of police uniforms. 

 

He was arraigned this morning, November 1. According to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, VDM has been granted bail but on stringent conditions. He is yet to disclose the terms of the bail.

A mother from upstate New York intentionally jumped into Niagara Falls with her two young children, including a 5-month-old baby, state police said Wednesday, October 30. 

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Monday, October 28, when officials with the New York State Park Police and New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation were called to an area near Goat Island, between Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls.

NiDCOM rescues 17 trafficked Nigerian women in Ghana

 

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has announced the rescue and repatriation of 17 Nigerian women trafficked to Ghana. In an operation conducted in collaboration with the Ghanaian Anti-Human Trafficking Police, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Ghana, and the Nigerian High Commission in Accra, five suspects were arrested, according to Abdur-Rahman Balogun, NiDCOM spokesperson.
